Alpha collected Rs 13.25 crore across India on Sunday, its best single day yet, according to figures reported by India TV News on Monday. The Alia Bhatt film opened at Rs 9 crore on Friday and added Rs 11.25 crore on Saturday. Its three-day total now stands at Rs 34 crore.

The film also stars Sharvari Wagh and Bobby Deol. Rising collections through the weekend usually point to word of mouth doing its job, and Alpha grew every single day.
Welcome to the Jungle finds a second wind
Akshay Kumar’s Welcome to the Jungle had a stronger second weekend than many holdovers manage. It earned Rs 4.50 crore on Friday, Rs 7.35 crore on Saturday and Rs 9.75 crore on Sunday.
The comedy’s running total has reached Rs 114.90 crore. The weekend bump suggests family audiences are still finding it.
Baby Do Die Do struggles against a Rs 25 crore budget
Huma Qureshi’s Baby Do Die Do opened at Rs 53 lakh on Friday. It managed Rs 70 lakh on Saturday and Rs 83 lakh on Sunday, for a three-day total of Rs 1.81 crore.
Set against a reported budget of Rs 25 crore, those numbers leave the film with a lot of ground to cover. Weekday collections rarely rescue a start this soft.
Cocktail 2 and Maa Inti Bangaram hold steady
Cocktail 2, the Homi Adajania film with Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon, added Rs 1.25 crore on its seventeenth day. Its total has reached Rs 92.55 crore, within sight of the Rs 100 crore mark.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Maa Inti Bangaram, directed by BV Nandini Reddy, earned Rs 1.81 crore on the same day. The film’s total stands at Rs 57.91 crore.
Monday’s numbers will tell the real story for Alpha. A weekend built on rising daily collections is a good place to start from.
