Atique hopeful about his victory

BSS, DHAKA: Awami League nominated mayoral candidate for Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Atiqual Islam cast his vote at 8:15am at Nawab Habibullah Model School and College polling centre in Uttara.

“I am hopeful about my victory,” Atique told journalists after coming out from the polling centre after casting his vote. His wife Shayala Sagupta Islam and daughter Bushra Islam were with him.

“Boat, his polls symbol, is the symbol of development . . . if I get mandate of city dwellers, I will work along with the people to build a smart DNCC free from mosquito, water logging and traffic jam,” Atique reassured the townspeople.

He urged people to cast their vote without fear. After casting his vote Atique started visiting different polling centres in DNCC.
