Dreame Ultra-Luxury Smartphones Debut With Gold, Diamonds Custom Design

By Esrat Jahan IsfaMarch 14, 20263 Mins Read

Dreame Ultra-Luxury Smartphones have entered the spotlight after the Chinese electronics company revealed a new premium concept during the Appliance Consumer Electronics Expo (AWE) 2026. The devices feature heavy customization using gold, diamonds, and other precious materials rather than focusing purely on technical upgrades.

The announcement signals Dreame’s attempt to enter the ultra-premium smartphone segment, a market traditionally associated with boutique luxury brands that prioritize craftsmanship and personalization over mainstream production.

Dreame targets luxury smartphone buyers with customization focus

The Dreame Ultra-Luxury Smartphones were showcased alongside the company’s newly introduced smartphone lineup, which includes the flagship RS1, the ultra-thin Air1, and the entry-level E1. While those models aim at wider consumer segments, the luxury editions are designed specifically for wealthy buyers seeking exclusivity.

At the exhibition, Dreame representatives explained that pricing begins at roughly $1,000 for a base flagship model. However, the final cost rises sharply depending on how much customization is applied.

Customers can select gold plating, precious stones, and other decorative materials. According to the company, prices can climb to $15,000 or more depending on the level of personalization requested by buyers.

The company confirmed that several visitors at the exhibition had already placed early orders for the luxury phones. The devices are positioned as bespoke technology products rather than mass-market gadgets.

Despite the emphasis on design, the core hardware is expected to remain similar to Dreame’s flagship smartphone platform.

The Dreame RS1, which forms the basis of the luxury variants, is built on a high-performance smartphone design featuring a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It also includes a 144 Hz full display without visible cutouts and a large 7200 mAh battery.

The device supports 90 W wired charging and 80 W wireless charging. The phone carries an IP69 rating for dust and water protection.

The camera system includes three sensors rated at 50 MP, 50 MP, and 64 MP. The front camera sits beneath the display and uses a 16 MP sensor.

Dreame explores a new path beyond traditional smartphone innovation

The luxury phones run Android 16 at launch. Dreame executives also suggested the company may eventually introduce its own operating system in the future, though no timeline has been confirmed.

The strategy appears to focus on aesthetics and exclusivity rather than competing directly with mainstream smartphone brands in hardware development.

Industry observers note that luxury phones represent a small but stable niche market. Buyers in this category often prioritize craftsmanship, rare materials, and unique design elements rather than performance benchmarks.

Dreame’s move signals a broader attempt by Chinese consumer electronics companies to experiment with premium lifestyle devices that blend technology with luxury fashion.

Dreame Ultra-Luxury Smartphones highlight the company’s push into a niche segment where customization and design take precedence over conventional smartphone competition.
