The Grammy Awards submission window for the 69th Annual GRAMMY Awards is open through August 21, according to the Recording Academy’s official eligibility guidance. The Academy says recordings must have been released between August 31, 2025, and August 28, 2026, and must be commercially distributed or available as a digital recording through a recognised streaming service.

The Academy’s rules distinguish an entry from a nomination. Eligible recordings submitted during the online entry period go to an initial ballot, after which Recording Academy voting members select the entries they believe should receive nominations. The guidance says recordings released during the eligibility period still must be entered before the August 21 deadline.
The 2027 Grammy Awards process has also drawn attention after BTS members said they would not submit their ARIRANG album or its songs for consideration, the Associated Press reported. AP said Recording Academy chief executive Harvey Mason Jr. responded to the decision and described several changes to the awards process.
Among those changes, AP reported five new categories, including Best Asian Pop Music Performance. The Academy’s FAQ says the Recording Academy currently has 100 distinct award categories across 11 genre fields and one general field. The official entry rules do not make a nomination prediction; they set the release, distribution and submission requirements for recordings seeking consideration.
