Norway face Iraq in World Cup 2026 Group I on Friday June 20 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, with kick-off at 3 p.m. ET, 8 p.m. BST. Erling Haaland scored twice in Norway’s 4-1 opening win and will be looking to continue his prolific form, while Iraq are searching for their first World Cup win in their history.
In the United States, FS1 carries the match in English with Telemundo covering in Spanish. FS1 streams through the Fox Sports app, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, and YouTube TV. The 3 p.m. ET kick-off runs simultaneously with England vs Ghana and France vs Nigeria, giving American viewers three simultaneous World Cup options in the early afternoon slot on Friday.
In the United Kingdom, ITV2 carries the Norway match with streaming on ITVX free of charge. In Norway, NRK and TV2 share World Cup rights, with this match on TV2 and streaming on TV2 Play. NRK has free-to-air rights for selected matches and is showing Friday’s fixture live on NRK1. Given Haaland’s profile and Norway’s strong start, this is expected to be the most-watched television event of the year in Norway so far.
In Iraq, Al-Iraqiya TV holds national broadcasting rights and is showing the match live free-to-air. Bein Sports Arabia also carries the fixture across the wider Arab world. In the broader Middle East region, the match is available on Bein Sports Connect via app or web browser for subscribers.
Haaland played all 90 minutes of Norway’s opening 4-1 win and his two goals — a header and a cool finish from inside the area — confirmed that the Manchester City striker is determined to make this World Cup his tournament. Norway manager Stale Solbakken said he would consider resting Haaland for part of the Iraq match given the relatively comfortable group position Norway find themselves in, though Haaland himself said in a pre-match media appearance that he had no interest in being substituted. Haaland’s brace in the opener made him the first Norwegian player to score twice in a single World Cup match.
Iraq are appearing at their second consecutive World Cup having qualified through the Asian confederation. Their squad is built around players from the Iraqi Premier League and the Saudi Pro League, with Ali Adnan their most experienced international. Despite a difficult opener, manager Jesus Casas said his team was capable of producing a result against Norway and pointed to previous Asian sides that had upset European opponents at this tournament.
Gillette Stadium is hosting two matches on Friday, with Croatia vs Panama also taking place at the venue at 6 p.m. ET. The Croatia vs Panama fixture follows immediately after Norway vs Iraq, giving New England football fans a full afternoon and evening of World Cup action without leaving their seats. FIFA Plus provides free streaming in countries without dedicated broadcast rights.
