Users can now click a “seems like AI slop” button when encountering suspect content. LinkedIn will use this feedback to train algorithms that identify and deprioritize low-quality AI-generated posts. The move reflects growing frustration among professionals tired of seeing promotional spam disguised as insight.
Replacing AI Writing Tools
LinkedIn is simultaneously replacing its own AI writing assistant with a proofreading tool. The company previously offered AI-powered features for job posts and articles, but users often complained the generated text sounded generic and impersonal.
