Meta unveiled Muse Spark 1.1, a new AI model powering the Meta AI app and meta.ai. The model can now build, plan, and follow through on tasks from start to finish—a step toward agentic AI that doesn’t just answer questions but executes work.

Muse Spark 1.1 backs new creative and advertising tools unveiled at Cannes Lions. Meta is pushing AI-powered creative development, audience targeting, and campaign optimization for advertisers and creators.
AI-Powered Features Expand
Meta introduced AI Mode for Facebook Search powered by Muse Spark. AI-powered photo and video editing for Stories and Reels let users modify media without external apps. Ads Manager got deeper customization for how creative assets appear together in campaigns.
These features are Meta’s answer to Google’s Gemini integration and Apple’s on-device AI. Meta’s angle is making AI accessible to creators and small businesses—democratizing tools that previously required expensive agencies.
Infrastructure Plays
Meta and BlackRock announced a venture to finance and operate a data center campus in El Paso, Texas. That’s infrastructure for future AI workloads. Meta also expanded its Nvidia partnership into a multi-year, multi-gigawatt chip deal—signaling serious commitment to scaling AI compute.
On July 1, Meta announced Meta Compute, a cloud business selling excess AI infrastructure. That’s a new revenue stream and a signal Meta has built more compute capacity than it immediately needs.
Meta’s AI push isn’t just features—it’s infrastructure dominance and making AI central to advertising and creator tools.
