MT Thunder 4 SV reaches India with ECE 22.06 certification and ₹13,699 price

ReiseMoto has launched the MT Thunder 4 SV full-face motorcycle helmet in India at a starting price of ₹13,699. Autocar Professional reported the launch on September 4, describing the helmet as a new addition to the MT Helmets range for sport touring, adventure touring and everyday riding.

The helmet is being sold through selected ReiseMoto retail outlets and the company’s online platform. Buyers can choose from multiple graphics and color options, although the launch report did not list a separate price for each design. The online listing shows the solid A0 gloss version at ₹13,699, with the price described as inclusive of taxes.

Safety certification is the main feature attached to the India launch. Autocar Professional reported that the MT Thunder 4 SV carries ECE 22.06, DOT and ISI certification. ReiseMoto’s product page also lists those three standards. The certifications identify the standards or approvals named by the manufacturer and seller; they do not remove the need for a rider to choose the correct size and use the helmet as directed.

The shell uses HIRP, or High Impact Resistant Polymer, according to the product listing. MT Helmets and ReiseMoto also describe an Air Flow Channel System designed to move air through the helmet. A separate Reduced Aero Drag Design is listed in the launch report. These are product design features stated by the companies, rather than independent performance measurements supplied with the India announcement.

The visor system is built around MT’s Quick Visor Swap System. The company says the system allows the visor to be attached or removed quickly. The helmet also has an integrated retractable sun visor and space for a Pinlock 100% Max Vision insert. ReiseMoto lists an extended vision area and a sun-visor system that can be detached for cleaning and maintenance.

The interior is designed to be removed and washed. The listing says the padding uses materials intended to support ventilation and moisture removal, while the side pads include an Emergency Release System. That system is meant to help remove the helmet in an emergency, but the product page does not claim that it replaces proper medical or rescue procedures after a crash.

Communication hardware is another part of the design. The MT Thunder 4 SV has dedicated speaker pockets and a universal intercom cage, according to ReiseMoto. The launch report says the helmet is compatible with universal intercom systems. An intercom unit is not included in the listed helmet price, so buyers should check the package contents before ordering.

ReiseMoto’s listing gives the helmet a shell-dependent weight range. It lists the smaller shell at 1,600 grams plus or minus 50 grams and the larger shell at 1,700 grams plus or minus 50 grams. The same page lists sizes from S through XXL for the displayed product, while the brand’s broader specifications describe several shell sizes. Buyers should confirm the size chart and available stock for the exact graphic they want.

The verified launch details are the India price, the selected retail and online sales channels, the listed certifications and the equipment described by ReiseMoto. Final stock, graphic-specific pricing and fit availability can vary by listing. The MT Thunder 4 SV is therefore best understood as a newly listed safety-focused riding helmet with several touring features, not as a claim of independent test performance beyond the certifications and product information reported by the sources.
