ZOOMBANGLA DESK: President M Abdul Hamid today asked the Bangladesh Police to work with the service-oriented spirit as new Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun paid a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban here in the evening.

“Police should work with service-oriented attitude . . . They (police) must earn the people’s trust through their activities,” the Head of the State told the chief of Bangladesh Police during the meeting.

Welcoming the new IGP, the President categorically said the police should always work with the attitude of providing proper service to mass people at all levels, Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told BSS later.

During the meeting, the new IGP sought the directives and all-out cooperation of the President in discharging his duties.

Secretaries concerned to the Bangabhaban were present on the occasion. (BSS)
