Vivo has begun teasing the launch of the Vivo Y500 4G in Nepal, offering an early look at a smartphone that appears to place battery endurance at the centre of its appeal. The device is expected to serve as the 4G counterpart to the Vivo Y500 5G, which was introduced in China in September last year.

The company has already confirmed two of the handset’s headline features: a 1.5K Infinity AMOLED display and an 8,100mAh BlueVolt battery. Those specifications immediately distinguish the upcoming model from many devices in the budget segment, where Full HD displays and smaller battery capacities remain more common.
Battery life is likely to be one of the phone’s strongest selling points. With an 8,100mAh battery, the device is positioned to offer extended use for streaming, communication, gaming, and everyday tasks without frequent charging. While Vivo has not shared battery performance figures, the capacity alone places the handset among the larger-battery smartphones expected in its category.
Display specifications are also drawing attention. A 1.5K AMOLED panel is still relatively uncommon in this price range, where many competing models continue to rely on lower-resolution screens. The combination of higher resolution and AMOLED technology could make the device particularly attractive to users who spend significant time consuming multimedia content on their phones.
Vivo has yet to announce an official launch date or reveal details about the processor. However, recent listings on the Google Play Console indicate that the smartphone may be powered by a Unisoc T7300 chipset. The listing also suggests the device could arrive with 8GB of RAM and run Android 16 out of the box.
Promotional materials released so far show the handset in a white colour option and feature a rear camera module with a vertically stacked design. Additional camera details have not been disclosed.
The Vivo Y500 4G appears to borrow several elements from the Vivo Y500 5G, although with expected differences between the two variants. The 5G model launched with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 50-megapixel primary camera, and support for 90W fast charging alongside its 8,200mAh battery.
For now, Vivo is focusing attention on the phone’s display and battery credentials, two areas that could help it stand out in a crowded budget smartphone market. With official details still emerging, the launch teaser offers an early indication of what consumers can expect when the Vivo Y500 4G reaches the market.
