Xiaomi is preparing to unveil the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro on May 28, with the standard 17T also confirmed for an India launch on June 4. In the days leading up to the announcement, the company has continued to disclose selected hardware details for both devices, offering a clearer picture of how the new series will be positioned.

The latest information came from Xiaomi’s Indian division, which confirmed that the Xiaomi 17T will run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. The phone will also carry a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery and support 67W HyperCharge charging.

That announcement follows Xiaomi’s earlier confirmation that the Xiaomi 17T Pro will feature the Dimensity 9500 processor alongside a larger 7,000mAh battery. The company has not yet shared additional performance or charging figures for the Pro model.

Camera details are also beginning to emerge. Xiaomi said the 17T will support photography across several focal lengths equivalent to 23mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 115mm. The company added that its Telemacro mode can capture images at 230mm, while Ultra Zoom mode extends that range to 460mm.

Xiaomi had already confirmed that both the 17T and 17T Pro would include a Leica-branded 5x telephoto camera, continuing the company’s ongoing imaging partnership with Leica across its upper-tier smartphone lineup.

Alongside the phones, Xiaomi’s global team announced on X that the Watch S5 in a 46mm size will also be introduced during the May 28 event. The company has not released detailed specifications for the smartwatch, though it described the wearable as having a slimmer profile, a larger display, and battery life intended for extended use.

The staggered rollout suggests Xiaomi is continuing its strategy of building momentum ahead of launch events through incremental disclosures rather than full specification sheets. For now, several details about the devices remain undisclosed, including pricing, availability beyond the confirmed markets, and broader hardware features.
