Amazon‘s Zoox subsidiary unveiled a redesigned robotaxi on June 24, representing the production-intent vehicle for the company’s autonomous fleet.

The redesign focuses on passenger comfort and usability. Zoox equipped the new vehicles with higher-quality touchscreens, more comfortable seats with ergonomic curves, and improved headrests.
Interior tweaks make it easier for passengers to spot forgotten items like keys and phones. Relocated bidirectional reflectors help riders and observers distinguish the vehicle’s front from its rear.
The cabin features a lighter color palette with monochrome aloe green seating and stone-grey flooring. Padding and ergonomic design throughout reflect Zoox’s focus on user experience over pure efficiency.
Zoox plans to introduce the redesigned model to its existing fleet later this year. Large-scale production will begin at the company’s San Francisco Bay Area facility that opened last June.
The manufacturing hub targets 10,000 vehicles annually at full capacity. However, Zoox remains awaiting National Highway Traffic Safety Administration approval for commercial operations to begin.
