Freshly leaked CAD renders circulating online suggest that Appleâs next-generation iPhone 18 Pro lineup may bring a noticeable change to the front of the device, with a redesigned Dynamic Island that appears narrower than the current version used across recent Pro iPhones.

The renders, which are said to depict the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max models, indicate a slimmer pill-shaped cutout stretching across less of the display width. While the overall look remains familiar, the revised layout could reduce how much space the feature occupies during day-to-day use.
According to details attached to the leak, Apple may be shifting some Face ID-related hardware beneath the display panel. That internal rearrangement is believed to be behind the smaller visible cutout at the top of the screen.
The Dynamic Island first appeared with the iPhone 14 Pro series and has remained largely unchanged through subsequent generations. If the newly surfaced renders reflect Appleâs final hardware direction, the iPhone 18 Pro range could mark the first significant visual refinement of the feature since its debut.
The narrower layout shown in the renders may also slightly alter the shape of the cutout. Although it appears reduced horizontally, it could extend marginally taller than the current implementation. The change may help create a less distracting viewing experience during video playback, gaming, and full-screen applications.
Beyond the display adjustments, the leaked CAD files also point to several broader hardware revisions. The rear of the device is shown with what appears to be a more unified transition between the glass back and aluminium frame, moving away from the more separated two-tone styling seen on recent models.
The camera housing is also expected to become thicker. The renders reportedly align with earlier claims that Apple is preparing upgraded camera hardware for future Pro iPhones, including a possible variable aperture system.
The larger Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max variant may also gain additional weight and thickness to accommodate a bigger battery. Reports connected to the leak claim the device could exceed 240 grams and carry a battery capacity ranging between 5,100mAh and 5,200mAh.
Several new colour finishes are also said to be under testing for the Pro lineup. The reported options include Dark Cherry, Light Blue, Dark Grey, Silver, Coffee Brown, and Deep Purple.

Apple has not publicly commented on the leaked renders or the reported hardware changes. As with early CAD-based leaks, the final commercial design could still change before the devices reach release stage. For now, the renders offer an early look at what may become one of the more visible design adjustments in Appleâs upcoming Pro iPhone generation.
