Apple iPhone 18 Pro Max Leaks Suggest Brighter Display, A20 Pro Chip and Higher Starting Price

By Tarek HasanMarch 10, 20263 Mins Read

Even though the next generation of Apple’s flagship phones is still months away, early details about the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro lineup have begun circulating through industry reports and technology watchers. The devices are not expected to arrive until later this year, yet leaks are already offering a preliminary look at what the iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone 18 Pro could bring.

Apple typically unveils its new iPhones in early September, and current reports point to a similar window this time as well. The company is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro series sometime between September 3 and September 10, though Apple itself has not confirmed any date.

Pricing expectations have also started to surface. According to the same reports, the iPhone 18 Pro could carry a starting price of around Rs 1,34,900 in India. The larger iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to begin at roughly Rs 1,54,900, keeping it positioned at the top end of Apple’s smartphone lineup.

Most of the early discussion around the devices centres on performance upgrades. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is said to run on Apple’s upcoming A20 Pro chipset. Leaks suggest it could be paired with 12GB of RAM and offer storage options going up to 1TB.

Display improvements may also form a key part of the update. Reports indicate the Pro Max variant could feature a 6.9-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness is expected to reach up to 3,000 nits, which would place it among the brighter smartphone displays currently discussed in the industry.

Camera hardware appears to remain focused on high-resolution photography. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to include a 48-megapixel main camera, with reports pointing to improved zoom capabilities compared with earlier models. On the front, the device could feature a 12-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

The smaller iPhone 18 Pro is expected to follow a similar technical direction. It may also use the A20 Pro chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options reaching 1TB.

Display size is likely to be the main visible difference. Leaks suggest the iPhone 18 Pro could come with a 6.3-inch OLED panel, while maintaining the same 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits.

Camera specifications on the Pro model are expected to remain largely in line with those of the Pro Max version, according to the reports currently circulating.

For now, however, all details surrounding the iPhone 18 Pro lineup remain based on leaks and early reports rather than official announcements. Apple has yet to comment publicly on the next generation of its smartphones, and clearer information will likely emerge closer to the company’s usual launch window in September.
