Audi has unveiled the A2 e-tron as a compact electric model with a claimed WLTP range of up to 646 kilometers. Autocar Professional listed the reveal among its current mobility coverage, while Audi’s press kit and Autocar’s UK report provide the platform, efficiency, charging and launch details.

The A2 e-tron is designed around efficiency rather than the size of a large luxury SUV. Audi quotes energy consumption as low as 12.8 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers for the most efficient version. WLTP is a standardized test cycle, so the distance a driver achieves on public roads will change with temperature, speed, tires and the use of heating or air conditioning.
Audi says the car uses the MEB platform and will be offered with three battery sizes. The range-topping version can travel up to 646km on the WLTP cycle. The company has also described a choice of electric power outputs, with figures ranging from 168 to 322 horsepower across the lineup. Final equipment and battery combinations will depend on the individual version.
Charging is another focus. Audi lists up to 183kW of direct-current charging and says the battery can move from 10 to 80 percent in around 29 minutes under suitable conditions. That result requires a compatible high-power charger and a battery at the right temperature. Home charging times and standard equipment can differ by market.
The car is being positioned as a European compact EV, with orders expected to open in autumn 2026 and deliveries planned for December. Audi’s press material does not establish a launch schedule for every market, so buyers outside Europe should wait for local announcements. Pricing, trim equipment and service packages will also shape the final ownership proposition.
The A2 e-tron gives Audi a smaller electric vehicle with a clearer efficiency message. Its headline range is useful for comparison, but the more important details will be the battery choices, cabin space, charging access and real-world consumption. Until independent road tests are available, the WLTP figure remains the official benchmark rather than a promise for every journey.
