The box office run of Dacoit has entered a more measured phase after an encouraging opening, with the film showing resilience despite a noticeable weekday dip. The romantic action drama, led by Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, collected ₹1.63 crore on its fifth day in theatres, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

That figure follows a sharper fall on its first Monday, when the film brought in ₹2.70 crore. The slowdown is typical for weekday business, though the film has managed to maintain a degree of momentum rather than slipping sharply. Its cumulative domestic total now stands at ₹24.13 crore.
The current trajectory places Dacoit within reach of overtaking the lifetime India net collection of HIT: The Second Case, another project headlined by Sesh, which closed at ₹25.92 crore. If the present trend continues, that benchmark could be crossed in the coming days. A larger milestone, however, remains distant for now, with the ₹50 crore mark still out of immediate sight.
Directed by Shaneil Deo, the film brings together a cast that includes Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Zayn Marie Khan and Atul Kulkarni. The story follows a convicted murderer, Hari, who escapes custody and sets out to settle scores with his former partner, Juliet, after holding her responsible for his imprisonment. His plan to implicate her in a hospital heist forms the backbone of the narrative, though events take an unexpected turn.
Reception to the film has been mixed, with audiences and critics divided in their response. Even so, the makers recently held a success meet, signalling confidence in its theatrical run. Filmmaker Nag Ashwin, who attended the event, publicly praised the film and its cast, noting its production values and performances.
