Dhamaal 4 claimed the July 2026 Bollywood box office crown, raking in ₹176.07 crore domestically and ₹29.14 crore overseas for a worldwide total of ₹205.21 crore.

The comedy franchise returned with its signature formula: treasure hunts, pirates, wild jungles, and unexpected scares. It’s not reinventing Bollywood, but it doesn’t need to. Audiences showed up.
Opening Weekend Storm
Dhamaal 4 earned ₹13.75 crore on day one, ₹22.48 crore on day two, and ₹28.15 crore on day three for a three-day opening of ₹64.35 crore. That’s solid for a comedy franchise, especially in July when Indian audiences often head outdoors or travel.
July’s Difficult Market
The broader Bollywood market in July was challenging. Total box office collection for the month was ₹343.94 crore—nearly 53% lower than July 2025, which earned ₹720.38 crore. Dhamaal 4 accounted for nearly half of all July collections, meaning other films underperformed significantly.
Alpha, released on July 10 and featuring Alia Bhatt and Anil Kapoor, failed to match expectations. Market observers blamed competition and audience hesitation before major August releases.
What This Tells Us
Franchises work in Bollywood. Audiences trust sequels more than original concepts. Dhamaal 4 won because it knew its audience and delivered exactly what they expected.
July was a rough month for most Bollywood films. “Dhamaal 4” was the exception because it gave audiences a reason to laugh.
