Google will unveil the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro on August 12, 2026, at its Made by Google event in New York, marking the company’s push into flagship phones with a custom 2nm processor.
The event kicks off at 6pm ET and represents Google’s biggest hardware refresh this year. Pre-orders open the same day as the announcement, with phones hitting shelves August 20.
Pixel 11 Lineup and Pricing
Google is announcing four phones this year. The Pixel 11 starts at $899 for 256GB, a price bump from previous generations but paired with double the base storage. The Pixel 11 Pro runs $1,099, the Pixel 11 Pro XL costs $1,299, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold reaches $1,899.
The baseline model ditches the 128GB tier entirely. That means faster speeds out of the box. The Pro models get the best cameras and displays, while the Fold serves enthusiasts willing to pay for innovation.
The Tensor G6 and New Design
Powering everything is the Tensor G6, Google’s first 2nm chip. It’s a leap forward in speed and efficiency. The company rebuilt its camera system from scratch, adding a 48MP periscope telephoto lens and better low-light performance across the lineup.
Google also introduced Pixel Glow, an RGB notification ring built around the camera bar. It lights up for alerts and calls, turning a functional component into part of the phone’s identity.
Display Brightness and Battery Life
The screens are brighter this year. Pixel 11 displays hit 2,450 nits of peak brightness, up from 2,000 nits, making them easier to see in sunlight. Battery life gets bumped by Google’s efficiency work on the Tensor G6.
The Pro XL model is built for users who want the largest screen and longest endurance. All four phones ship with the latest Android and access to Google’s AI features.
Google’s August event is the moment the Pixel line gets serious about competing at the premium end.
