Rockstar Games opened pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI at midnight today, June 25, 2026, confirming the game will launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at $79.99.
Grand Theft Auto VI represents the largest entertainment launch in history. The game releases exclusively on current-generation consoles at launch, with a PC version coming later.
All pre-orders and purchases made before November 20, 2026, include the Vintage Vice City Pack, a collection of items that reference the setting of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, alongside one free month of GTA+ for digital pre-orders.
Players who pre-order digital versions will begin pre-loading on November 12, 2026, one week before launch. Physical copies will contain a download code inside the box, also becoming available on November 12 to support pre-loading.
The game takes place in Vice City, the fictional Miami-inspired setting featured in 2003’s Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Rockstar has kept story details confidential, building anticipation among the franchise’s global audience.
Grand Theft Auto VI arrives after five years of development and years of speculation about when Rockstar would announce the next installment. The franchise has sold over 375 million copies worldwide across all platforms, making it one of the most successful entertainment franchises in history.
Pre-orders available through Rockstar’s official launcher, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and authorized retailers worldwide.
