Honda has unveiled the CB500 retro roadster in India and opened bookings at BigWing dealerships across the country. The bike lands in a market where retro-styled motorcycles have grown into a serious buying category over the past few years.
Pricing hasn’t been officially confirmed, but industry estimates place the CB500 between ₹2.5 lakh and ₹3.15 lakh depending on the variant, positioning it against other mid-capacity retro bikes from Royal Enfield, Triumph, and Kawasaki.
What the CB500 Brings
The India-bound CB500 follows the design language of Honda’s global CB retro lineup, with round headlamps, a flat seat, and classic proportions built around a modern platform. Honda has leaned into this style across multiple markets this year, including the CB500 Hornet and CB500 Super Four shown internationally.
The Super Four variant, revealed at a motorcycle show in China, carries a 502cc engine producing 71 horsepower, Honda’s E-Clutch system, and five ride modes. Whether India gets the same specification remains to be confirmed once official pricing lands.
Booking Process and What’s Next
Interested buyers can now register interest at any Honda BigWing dealership, Honda’s premium retail channel for bigger-displacement motorcycles in India. BigWing has become the company’s primary outlet for bikes that sit above its mass-market scooters and commuters.
Honda hasn’t confirmed exact delivery timelines, but bookings opening ahead of a formal price announcement is typical for how the company has staged recent premium launches in India.
The retro motorcycle segment in India keeps getting more crowded, and Honda is betting its brand and dealer network can carve out a share of it.
