The Huawei Pura X View has entered its preorder phase in China ahead of an August 28 retail debut, but Huawei has not yet announced a price for the unusual non-folding smartphone. The device is drawing attention because it uses a wide screen rather than the tall display format common on conventional flagship phones.
Android Central reported that preorders were available through Huawei’s official VMall and JD.com stores. The same report said buyers could choose 256GB, 512GB or 1TB storage, with each configuration paired with 12GB of RAM. The listed colour options were red, gray, white and black, while the commercial price remained undisclosed.
Huawei’s design uses a 16:9.5 aspect ratio for a 6.39-inch display. TechNode reported that the phone is 6.68 millimeters thick, weighs 201 grams and carries a 7,000mAh battery. The wide panel is intended to provide more horizontal space for reading, video and other content without using a hinge.
The Pura X View is therefore different from Huawei’s earlier Pura X foldable. It keeps a conventional slab-phone body while borrowing the wider viewing idea associated with foldable devices. Android Central said Huawei claims a 96.1 percent screen-to-body ratio and bezels measuring 1.05 millimeters, although those are manufacturer claims rather than independent test results.
The launch information remains incomplete. Android Central said Huawei had not revealed the full specifications or pricing when its report was published, and it cautioned that the phone appeared likely to be limited to China initially. That means online estimates about a possible price should not be presented as an official figure or used as a Bangladesh retail price.
The August 28 date is the next confirmed milestone for shoppers tracking the Huawei Pura X View. Huawei’s preorder listings can establish the available storage and colour choices, while the final price, full specification sheet and any international availability still require confirmation from Huawei or an official regional distributor. Until then, the product’s main verified distinction is its wide-screen format combined with a large battery in a traditional phone body.
