Infinix Note 60 Ultra: Flagship Smartphone Features at a Budget Price

By Shahriar FahimMarch 9, 20264 Mins Read

The Infinix Note 60 Ultra has been officially announced, bringing flagship-level specifications into a price category traditionally dominated by midrange phones. The device is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2026, introducing high-end camera hardware, a large battery, and premium build materials.

Infinix appears to be positioning the Note 60 Ultra as a performance-focused device for users who want advanced smartphone capabilities without paying flagship prices. The combination of a Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor, a 200MP camera system, and a 7000mAh battery signals a major push into the upper midrange market.

Infinix Note 60 Ultra packs flagship hardware in a midrange design

The Infinix Note 60 Ultra features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1208 x 2644 pixels. The panel supports Ultra HDR and can reach peak brightness levels of up to 4500 nits, making it one of the brightest displays currently announced in this segment.

The phone uses Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the front, while the camera island is reinforced with Gorilla Glass Victus. Its aluminum frame and glass construction give it a premium feel. Despite the large battery inside, the device maintains a slim profile at 7.9mm thickness and weighs around 220 grams.

Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset built on a 4nm process. The processor features an octa-core architecture with Cortex-A725 performance cores. Paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB, the device is designed to handle demanding apps, gaming, and multitasking.

Massive battery and advanced camera highlight the Infinix Note 60 Ultra

One of the most notable features is the large 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery. The device supports 100W wired charging, which can reach 50 percent in about 18 minutes and a full charge in roughly 48 minutes. Wireless charging up to 50W is also supported, along with reverse wired and wireless charging.

The rear camera system is built around a 200-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization. The phone also includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom and an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. Video recording supports up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.

For selfies and video calls, the device includes a 32-megapixel front camera capable of recording 4K video. The phone also features stereo speakers tuned by JBL, Hi-Res audio support, and an under-display fingerprint sensor.

Additional features expand the device beyond typical midrange phones

The Infinix Note 60 Ultra runs Android 16 with the company’s XOS 16 interface and is promised up to three major Android upgrades. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, infrared support, and USB-C.

One unusual feature is the inclusion of two-way satellite communication support through Thuraya services, allowing limited connectivity even outside traditional network coverage areas with a compatible plan.

The device is rated IP64 for dust protection and resistance to water splashes. It also includes sensors such as heart rate monitoring and SpO2 tracking, which are rarely seen in smartphones in this category.

The Infinix Note 60 Ultra combines flagship-level hardware with a design aimed at users who want premium smartphone features without paying premium prices. If the final pricing aligns with its typical Note series positioning, the device could become one of the most competitive smartphones in the upper midrange segment when it launches in 2026.
