Fresh leaks around Apple’s iPhone 18 lineup are circulating this week, pointing to a new processor, camera changes and, for the first time, a folding iPhone. None of it has been confirmed by Apple.

The rumored iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are said to run on a new A20 Pro chip built on TSMC’s 2nm process, paired with 12GB of RAM, according to leaks compiled by Tom’s Guide and AppleInsider. Leakers also point to a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display, an Apple-designed C2 modem and a battery rated near 4,288 mAh.
Camera changes are also part of the rumor set. Multiple reports describe a variable aperture system for the rear camera and under-screen Face ID, both changes that would mark a real shift from the current lineup if they hold up.
Color options mentioned across leaks include light blue, silver, dark gray and a dark cherry shade for the Pro models, though Apple has not confirmed any final palette.
The most notable rumor is a folding iPhone, expected to launch under a name like iPhone Ultra after years of speculation. Reports say Apple has told suppliers to prepare production capacity for around 10 million foldable units this year, a sign the company may be closer to shipping one than in past rumor cycles.
Timing rumors are mixed. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected in fall 2026 alongside Apple’s usual release window, but some reports suggest the standard iPhone 18 could slip to early 2027, breaking from Apple’s normal same-day lineup launch.
All of this traces back to supply chain sources, known leakers and a messy leak tied to a ransomware incident that has circulated since June, none of which Apple has addressed directly. Until Apple sends invitations for a September event, the chip, camera and foldable details remain rumor rather than fact. Apple has said little publicly about the rumor cycle, as is typical this far ahead of a launch, leaving buyers to weigh a fall 2026 Pro release against the possibility of waiting for the foldable model.
