Lenovo unveiled the Legion Go Fold gaming handheld as a concept device at Mobile World Congress, demonstrating the company’s vision for foldable gaming hardware. The device combines detachable controllers with a POLED display that unfolds from 7.7 inches to 11.6 inches.

The foldable screen design addresses a persistent problem with traditional handheld gaming—limited screen real estate constraining immersion. The Go Fold unfolds to offer expansive gaming real estate comparable to portable gaming devices from Nintendo and Sony.
Detachable controllers slide out from either side of the device, allowing multiple gaming styles. Players can use traditional controller inputs, attach controllers for couch gaming, or play in portable mode with controllers attached to the sides.
The device runs full PC games via remote streaming and native mobile titles, positioning it between smartphone gaming and portable PC gaming systems. Battery life targets six to eight hours of active gameplay, though exact specifications remain unconfirmed for the pre-production concept.
No release date has been announced, and Lenovo positioned this as a concept vehicle for future innovation rather than an imminent product. Industry observers see the Go Fold as Lenovo testing market appetite for high-end gaming handhelds before committing to production.
