Netflix BTS Concert Marks Global Comeback With First Live Show in Years

By Abul KalamFebruary 5, 20263 Mins Read

The Netflix BTS concert will stream live worldwide on March 21, marking the group’s first full performance together in nearly four years. The South Korean supergroup will perform in Seoul and broadcast the event exclusively on Netflix for all subscribers.

This performance comes one day after the release of BTS’s fifth studio album, ARIRANG. The event signals the official end of the group’s military hiatus and the start of a new global chapter.

BTS Returns to the Stage With a Live Netflix Global Broadcast

The Netflix BTS concert will take place at Gwanghwamun Square, located in front of Gyeongbokgung Palace in central Seoul. All seven members will perform together as a complete group for the first time since 2022.

The live show is scheduled for 8 p.m. KST on March 21. That translates to 7 a.m. ET and 4 a.m. PT for viewers in the United States. Netflix confirmed the stream will be included in all plans.

The concert is titled BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG. It will feature the first live performances from the group’s new album, along with selected songs from their earlier catalog.

The album ARIRANG will be released on March 20. It is BTS’s first full-length studio album since their hiatus began due to mandatory military service.

Netflix has also confirmed a follow-up documentary film titled BTS: THE RETURN. The documentary will premiere on March 27 and focus on the making of ARIRANG and the group’s reunion process.

The film is directed by Bao Nguyen and produced in collaboration with HYBE. It documents the group’s time recording music together after completing military service.

Current Status of BTS After Military Service and What Comes Next

BTS paused group activities in late 2022 to fulfill South Korea’s mandatory military service requirements. Each member enlisted separately over an 18-month period.

Jin and j-hope completed service in 2024. RM, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook were discharged in early June 2025. SUGA completed service last on June 21, 2025.

During the hiatus, members focused on solo projects, including albums, collaborations, and individual performances. Group activities remained on hold until all seven members were officially discharged.

The Netflix BTS concert represents the group’s first confirmed live appearance as a unit since enlistments began. It is also their first performance broadcast globally in real time since 2022.

Following the live event, BTS will launch the ARIRANG World Tour. The tour is planned to cover 34 regions with 82 shows worldwide, though full dates and venues have not yet been released.

Netflix has not yet announced whether the live concert will be available for replay after the broadcast. Additional viewing details are expected closer to the event date.

The Netflix BTS concert confirms the group’s full return to the global stage. It combines a live performance, a new album, and a documentary rollout into one coordinated comeback moment.
