A dog food recall has been issued for one lot of Oma’s Pride Woof Complete Canine Chicken Recipe because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella.

The US Food and Drug Administration said the recall covers 639 six-pound bags from lot BB012729. The product was distributed in 11 states, and the agency said no other Oma’s Pride products or lots were included in the announcement.
The FDA advises consumers not to feed the recalled food to pets. People who bought the affected lot should check the lot number on the package, discard the product safely or return it to the place of purchase, and clean surfaces that may have touched it.
Salmonella can affect animals that eat contaminated food and can also spread to people through contact with the product or an infected animal. Pet owners should contact a veterinarian if an animal develops signs of illness after eating the recalled food.
News 12 reported the same lot and bag count while advising customers to follow the recall instructions rather than use the product. The FDA’s notice remains the reference for the affected lot and the official handling guidance.Oma’s Pride dog food recalled over Salmonella risk in 11 states
