OnePlus is preparing to launch the 15s in India before the end of June, and the leaked specs suggest it may be one of the most compelling compact flagships of the year. The phone is expected to carry a 7,500mAh silicon-carbon battery — a jump that positions it against devices twice its price. BIS certification has already appeared, which typically signals a launch is weeks away.
The display measures 6.32 inches, making it noticeably smaller than most flagships in the Snapdragon 8 Elite tier. It uses a 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness. The processor is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, with the phone running OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16.
Camera hardware includes a rear dual-camera setup with either a 200MP Samsung HP5 or a 50MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor — sources differ on which variant will arrive in India — paired with a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto. Fast charging support sits at either 100W or 120W wired, with Qi2 wireless charging also expected. IP68 and IP69 ratings are listed in leaked documentation.
Expected pricing lands below Rs 60,000 in India, which puts it in direct competition with the Xiaomi 17T and Motorola Edge 70 Pro+. The difference is the chipset — the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is a step above both of those phones’ processors.
A launch event date has not been officially confirmed yet. Given the BIS filing and the pace of teaser activity from OnePlus India, an announcement within the next few weeks appears likely. The 15s is a rebranded version of the OnePlus 15T that launched globally last month.
