OnePlus launched the N6 in India on Tuesday with a starting price of Rs 22,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The top-end 6GB RAM option costs Rs 24,999.
The phone’s headline feature is its 8,000mAh battery, which OnePlus says delivers up to three days of regular use and retains 80 percent battery health even after seven years. That battery is paired with 45W fast charging. The device runs OxygenOS 16 and comes in two colors: Fresh Mint and Midnight Black.
What’s Inside the OnePlus N6
The N6 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset, a slightly upgraded version of the Dimensity 6300 SoC. The display is a 6.75-inch HD+ LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits peak brightness. The primary camera is a 50MP sensor at the rear, and the phone weighs 224 grams with an 8.8mm thickness.
For durability, OnePlus has given it MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification and an IP65 rating. The cooling system uses a 5,300mm² vapor chamber. Those are solid specs for a phone in this price range.
Where It Fits in the Market
The Rs 22,999 to Rs 24,999 price range is a contested segment in India. Redmi and Samsung compete hard on battery life and display quality at these prices. OnePlus is leaning into battery endurance as its differentiator here, and the three-day claim is a strong hook for users tired of daily charging.
The N6 goes on sale starting July 4 via Amazon.in. The timing is deliberate: July 4 is Amazon Prime Day, and launching a phone into that window gives it immediate promotional support and a wider first-day audience.
The Budget Premium Play
OnePlus has been pushing into the budget segment with the N series for a few years now. The N6 is arguably the most spec-dense phone they’ve put in this range. It won’t satisfy buyers who want AMOLED or flagship performance, but for someone who wants a reliable everyday device with genuine battery life, it makes a reasonable case.
The decision not to use an AMOLED panel is the obvious tradeoff. An LCD at this price keeps costs down, but buyers comparing this to similarly priced Redmi phones with AMOLED will notice.
Whether the N6 can find traction against similarly priced rivals will become clear after Prime Day sales numbers emerge in early July.
