The early box office run of *Raja Shivaji* suggests a steady audience turnout, with the historical drama maintaining momentum through its first weekday stretch. Led by Riteish Deshmukh, the film added Rs 4.90 crore nett on Tuesday, taking its five-day domestic total to Rs 44.40 crore.

Gross earnings have already moved past the Rs 50-crore mark, standing at Rs 52.68 crore within five days of release. The film had opened strongly, collecting in double digits across its first weekend before settling into more typical weekday figures.

Friday brought in Rs 11.35 crore, followed by Rs 10.55 crore on Saturday and Rs 12 crore on Sunday. Collections eased to Rs 5.60 crore on Monday and dipped slightly further on Tuesday, though the drop remains within expected trends after a robust opening.

This performance has quickly altered the film’s position within the Marathi industry’s commercial landscape. *Raja Shivaji* has already overtaken Natsamrat, starring Nana Patekar, to become the second highest-grossing Marathi film in India based on current figures.

At present, Sairat remains the top earner with Rs 110 crore. Whether *Raja Shivaji* can close that gap will depend on how it performs through its second weekend and beyond, particularly in regional markets where it has drawn its strongest support.

The Marathi version continues to drive the bulk of revenue. On Tuesday alone, it contributed Rs 3.35 crore, while the Hindi version accounted for Rs 1.55 crore. The film’s appeal appears rooted primarily in its core audience, with limited but steady traction in the dubbed format.

The cast includes Genelia Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Bhagyashree and Vidya Balan, with a special appearance by Salman Khan. The film is based on the life and valour of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a figure with enduring historical and cultural significance.

For now, the numbers reflect a stable run rather than a volatile one. The coming days will indicate whether the film can sustain its pace or begin to taper as newer releases and weekday fatigue set in.
