Samsung’s next mid-range phone made an unexpected appearance online before it was ready. The Galaxy A27 spec sheet and press renders surfaced after the device briefly appeared on Samsung’s Czech Republic website, pulled within hours but not before the details spread widely.

The A27 moves to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, a genuine step up from the Exynos 1380 in the A26. It ships with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, running Android 16 with One UI 8.5. The display is a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED at 120Hz with a punch-hole cutout replacing the A26’s teardrop notch.
Two changes will frustrate some buyers. Samsung appears to have removed microSD support — still available on the A26. The IP rating drops from IP67 to IP64. The A27 handles dust and splashes but submersion protection is gone. For a value-focused phone, that’s a step backward.
The battery stays at 5,000mAh with 25W wired charging. Dimensions shift to 162.4 x 78.2 x 7.8mm. Three colours are confirmed: Light Pink, Blue, and Black.
Samsung has not confirmed a release date, but the completeness of the leak points to a July to August 2026 window. Pricing hasn’t been shared, though A-series phones typically sit in the $250 to $300 range.
Android Authority reported the page looked production-ready. The processor upgrade and Android 16 out of the box give the A27 a competitive foundation in a crowded segment. Samsung’s rivals from Motorola and Google have kept or improved expandable storage and water resistance in recent launches, which puts some pressure on the A27’s value case at whatever price Samsung lands on.
