Sony pulled the curtain back on a Marvel’s Wolverine console bundle this week, tying a limited-edition PlayStation 5 to Insomniac Games’ upcoming superhero title. The PlayStation 5 Digital Edition Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle will be sold globally.

The console leans hard into the character’s signature look. Sony gave the hardware a bold yellow finish meant to echo Logan’s costume, and paired it with claw-mark detailing across the console body.

Pre-orders open August 19 at 10 a.m. local time, according to Sony’s announcement, ahead of the console’s release alongside the game itself. Pricing is set at $649.99 in the United States, £569.99 in the United Kingdom, and €649.99 across the eurozone.

Sony is also selling a separate PlayStation 5 Pro console cover inspired by the adamantium bonded to Logan’s skeleton, with the same metallic, claw-slashed styling as the full bundle. Owners of an existing PS5 Slim or PS5 Pro can buy that cover on its own rather than the full console.

A matching yellow DualSense controller will be available as a standalone purchase too, so players who already own a console can pick up the look without replacing their hardware.

Marvel’s Wolverine itself launches September 15 on PlayStation 5, and the limited-edition hardware arrives alongside it that same day. The game uses the PS5 Pro’s PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution feature, which Sony says improves image quality and frame rates on supported hardware.

Insomniac has described the tone of its Wolverine game as darker and more mature than its Spider-Man titles, a shift the studio has said fits the character. The console bundle marks one of the more elaborate hardware tie-ins Sony has built around a first-party PlayStation release this year.

Sony has run similar character-themed bundles before, including editions tied to Spider-Man 2 and God of War Ragnarok, but reviewers who previewed the Wolverine hardware said the claw detailing and cover options go further than most past tie-ins. Stock is expected to be limited when pre-orders open next week.
