Tecno has introduced the Spark 50 5G in India, adding another budget-focused device to its Spark lineup with an emphasis on battery capacity and 5G connectivity. The smartphone is scheduled to go on sale from April 3 through Amazon India and Flipkart.

The new handset features a 6.78-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Tecno says the panel supports up to 560 nits of brightness and carries a 240Hz touch sampling rate, specifications aimed at smoother scrolling and touch response during regular use.
Inside, the Spark 50 5G runs on MediaTekâs Dimensity 6400 processor built on a 6nm process. The octa-core chipset is paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Buyers will be able to choose between 4GB and 6GB LPDDR4x RAM variants, both offering 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone also includes a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion.
On the rear, Tecno has used a horizontal pill-shaped camera module made from 6-series aluminum. The setup includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.85 aperture alongside an LED flash. No additional rear sensors were detailed by the company in the announcement.
The front camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor placed inside a hole-punch cutout on the display. The device also carries a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
Tecno has equipped the phone with a 6,500mAh battery, one of the larger capacities currently seen in this segment. The handset supports 45W wired fast charging. It ships with HiOS 16 based on Android 16.
Other features include dual-SIM support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS support, and dual-band Wi-Fi with 4Ã4 MIMO capability. The company has also included an IP64 Pro rating for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H certification.
The Spark 50 5G will be offered in Champagne Gold, Fantasy Purple, Ink Black, and Mint Green colour options.
