Tesla‘s 2026 Model 3 refresh brings record range, the long-awaited return of the turn-signal stalk, and a Grok AI copilot that now controls more vehicle systems. The new Model 3 Long Range RWD pairs a single rear motor with an 82 kWh usable battery promising 750 km WLTP range on 18-inch wheels—a generational leap over previous iterations.

The physical turn-signal stalk returns on select configurations and markets, addressing years of feedback about buttonless controls. Matrix LED headlights now dim specific beam sections in two stages, preventing oncoming drivers from being blinded while keeping your road lit. The cabin is quieter with better sound deadening and more comfortable seats.
What Changed, What Didn’t
The refresh targets what owners consistently complained about: range anxiety, comfort on rough roads, and confusing controls. Tesla added the stalk—a concession that button-based turn signaling was worse than physical controls. Grok now handles more voice commands beyond navigation, adjusting climate and driving settings through natural language.
Charging speeds and battery chemistry improved. The Summer 2026 update (2026.26) brought new startup animations and Grok refinements. Nothing revolutionary, but meaningful refinements that add up to a better car.
Pricing and Availability
Pricing remains competitive in the EV segment. The Model 3 Long Range RWD 750km version doesn’t exist yet in previous years’ specs—it’s genuinely new. Deliveries are ramping now. The 2026 refresh keeps Tesla’s Model 3 as the reference point for accessible EVs.
FYI (keeping you in the loop)
Is this a full refresh or a mid-cycle update?
It’s positioned as a refresh—new battery chemistry, new exterior trim, new interior materials—but shared platform with prior generations. Full redesign would require completely new chassis.
