Vivo has expanded its premium smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Vivo X300 Pro, a device that builds on the camera-focused approach that helped the earlier X200 Pro gain attention across several technology award platforms. The new model arrives with hardware refinements, a redesigned body, and support for Vivo’s ZEISS telephoto extender system, a feature previously limited to the company’s Ultra-series phones.

Priced from Rs. 99,999, the X300 Pro targets buyers looking for flagship-grade photography features without moving into the ultra-premium segment occupied by some rival devices. Vivo is also offering compatibility with the Vivo ZEISS 2.35x Telephoto Extender, sold separately for Rs. 18,999, expanding the phone’s long-range photography capabilities.
The X300 Pro continues Vivo’s familiar design language, centred around a large circular rear camera module carrying ZEISS branding. The company has retained the visual identity associated with its X-series devices, though the latest model introduces a flatter frame and rear panel compared to previous generations.
Despite adopting a slimmer profile, the device carries a larger battery than the X200 Pro. Vivo says the phone measures 161.2×75.5x8mm and weighs 226 grams. It also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, placing it in line with other flagship devices in the segment.
On the front, the X300 Pro features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Vivo claims a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and a pixel density of 452ppi. The company appears to be continuing its focus on multimedia and imaging performance, areas that have increasingly become central to competition in the premium Android market.
Photography remains the headline feature. Vivo has equipped the X300 Pro with a 200-megapixel telephoto camera system and added support for the external ZEISS telephoto extender accessory. The move broadens the appeal of the Pro model for photography enthusiasts who previously had to consider the Ultra variant for advanced zoom features.
Another notable change comes in software. The X300 Pro ships with OriginOS out of the box, replacing FuntouchOS. The shift marks a significant software transition for Vivo’s flagship lineup and could influence how long-time users experience the device day to day.
