Microsoft has confirmed four games joining Xbox Game Pass in September 2026, starting with Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault on September 2. That title graduates from Early Access straight into its full 1.0 release the same day it lands on Xbox Series X and Series S.
SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed follows a day later, arriving September 3 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. The racing game joins the service without a separate console-only launch window, going straight to Game Pass on day one.
The bigger additions land later in the month. Dune: Awakening arrives September 22 as a day-one Game Pass title for Ultimate and PC subscribers, bringing a new single-player mode to the survival game set in Frank Herbert’s desert universe. Minecraft Dungeons II follows on September 29, also exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at launch.
All four titles were confirmed through a mix of Microsoft announcements and reporting from outlets including Pure Xbox, TrueAchievements and Windows Report, which tracked the additions as they were revealed over recent days. Microsoft has not published the complete September lineup and is expected to confirm more titles in the coming weeks, as it typically does in two batches each month.
The September slate leans on original entries and sequels to existing franchises rather than blockbuster new releases, continuing a pattern from recent months of Microsoft mixing indie and mid-size titles with occasional day-one additions. Dune: Awakening is the headline pick for subscribers who want a day-one release, while Minecraft Dungeons II gives family-friendly subscribers a new co-op option heading into the fall.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs more than the standalone PC Game Pass tier, and Microsoft has leaned on additions like these to justify the higher price as competition from other subscription gaming services continues to grow.
