Amazon Prime Video rolls out a packed July 2026 lineup with Elle, Project Hail Mary, and Ride or Die leading the charge. The streaming service is stacking prestige titles and franchise content to keep subscribers engaged.

Elle premieres July 1 as a prequel to Legally Blonde. Project Hail Mary lands July 3 with Ryan Gosling. Ride or Die follows July 15 with Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham.
The Originals Strategy
Amazon is mixing origin stories with star power. Elle builds on fan affection for the Legally Blonde universe. Project Hail Mary adapts a beloved science fiction novel. Ride or Die puts two comedy veterans together in a fresh concept.
This is the formula that works: known properties or known talent in new contexts.
Beyond Originals
Prime added all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls after Netflix lost the rights. That’s a catalog play — existing fans can rewatch, new viewers discover. The show still has a passionate audience.
Sports content rounds out the month. NBA Summer League, WNBA, Yankees games, and NWSL soccer stream throughout July. Sports drives subscriber commitment more than anything else.
The Bandwidth Play
July is a crowded month for streaming. Netflix, Apple TV+, Max, and Disney+ all have new shows. Amazon’s job is to offer enough variety that someone in the house finds something to watch.
Streaming is no longer about having the best show. It’s about having something for everyone.
