The ANZ Suncorp Bank migration has entered a more visible customer-communications phase, with the two banks preparing account moves for 2027. ANZ says Suncorp banking customers will move to ANZ systems and digital platforms by June 2027.

Suncorp Bank customers are being told that normal banking can continue for now. The Suncorp Move Hub says customers do not need to take action immediately, but they should keep contact details current so the bank can send instructions when their move is ready.
The planned change affects more than a brand on a statement. Accounts, digital-banking access and service processes will eventually operate through ANZ, which means customers will receive information about new systems, passwords, cards or other steps that apply to their own products.
ANZ says customers will gain access to its branch network, digital banking services and security features after the move. Suncorp also says familiar staff will continue to support customers, although the exact experience will depend on the account and the stage of the migration.
The banks have placed scam warnings beside the transition information. Customers should be cautious about unexpected calls, texts or emails that ask for passwords, one-time codes, card numbers or remote access, and should use contact details from official bank websites.
The timetable is staged rather than an overnight switch for everyone. Suncorp’s customer hub describes an early-2027 preparation phase followed by account moves during 2027, while ANZ’s latest announcement sets June 2027 as the target for the banking-systems migration.
The operating work also has a regional dimension. ANZ said it was investing in Queensland, including a Chinchilla branch and a co-located Business Hub in Maroochydore, as it prepares to serve the combined customer base.
Independent banking coverage has put the customer base at roughly 1.2 million people. The size of the migration explains why the banks are using a long preparation window and repeated direct notices rather than asking every customer to change accounts at once.
The immediate message is straightforward: Suncorp Bank remains available while the transition is prepared, and the June 2027 target is a migration milestone rather than a deadline for customers to act today. Customers should wait for direct instructions and verify any message before sharing information.
