Apple is preparing to introduce the iPhone 18 series globally around September 2026, continuing its annual refresh cycle with four expected models: the regular iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Air, iPhone 18 Pro, and the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

The upcoming lineup is being positioned as an important growth driver for the Cupertino-based technology company at a time when hardware pricing and manufacturing costs are facing renewed pressure from global supply chain disruptions.
Among the most closely watched developments is Appleâs expected pricing strategy for the standard iPhone 18. The company is likely to raise the price of the base model compared to the iPhone 17 generation, reflecting increased memory costs and broader supply chain pressures tied to geopolitical tensions in western markets.
Apple had previously managed to keep the iPhone 17 base model attractive by offering 256GB storage as the starting configuration while maintaining pricing close to the earlier 128GB version. That move reportedly pushed stronger consumer demand toward the entry-level device.
Conditions have since changed, according to the information available ahead of the iPhone 18 launch. Higher component and logistics costs are now expected to affect Appleâs manufacturing expenses more directly, leaving the company with limited room to absorb the increase without adjusting retail pricing for the standard model.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, however, are not currently expected to receive a price increase. Apple is believed to retain stronger margins on its premium devices, allowing the company to manage rising memory costs while keeping pricing relatively stable in the high-end segment.
Colour options are also expected to see some changes in the Pro lineup. Apple is likely to introduce new blue and magenta finishes for the iPhone 18 Pro models while bringing back a black variant that was absent in recent generations.
In terms of design, the iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to remain visually close to the iPhone 17 Pro series. The camera island is also likely to retain a familiar layout. Most of the upgrades are expected to focus on internal hardware, particularly camera capabilities and processor performance.
Before the iPhone 18 series arrives, Appleâs immediate attention will turn to its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, or WWDC 2026, scheduled from June 8 to June 12. The event is expected to showcase the next generation of software experiences across iPhones, Macs, and iPads.

That software preview could offer the earliest indication of how the iPhone 18 lineup will feel in day-to-day use once the devices officially launch later in the year. For now, Apple has not publicly confirmed details related to the iPhone 18 series, including pricing, colours, or hardware specifications.
