Rosmerta Digital Services and the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand a digital platform for vehicle compliance. The service, called Rosmart, is designed to help citizens and dealers check pending traffic challans and manage related steps during vehicle transactions.

Autocar Professional reports that the agreement was formalised at FADA’s eighth Auto Retail Conclave in New Delhi. Rosmart is available through Rosmart.com, where users can log in to see pending traffic violations associated with a vehicle and access related services. The stated aim is to reduce uncertainty when a vehicle is sold, exchanged or transferred.
Unresolved challans can create delays in the pre-owned vehicle market, particularly when a vehicle has records linked to more than one city or state. The companies say dealers often become the point where these issues surface. A digital record-checking process can give the customer and dealer a clearer view of what still needs attention before a transaction is completed.
The platform is designed for two user groups. Individual customers can access Rosmart.com or scan a QR code displayed at participating dealerships and other customer touchpoints. Dealers can assist customers directly and can upload cases in bulk, according to the companies. That dealer workflow is intended to help businesses handle several vehicle files rather than checking every case separately.
Rosmerta and FADA also pointed to the risk created by unauthorised websites and intermediaries that claim to clear traffic challans. The two organisations say those services can increase the risk of fraud and cybercrime. Rosmart is being positioned as a transparent channel connected to the automotive retail network, but users should still confirm the final payment and status through the relevant official traffic authority.
The companies say Rosmart currently offers services for citizens and dealers, with additional citizen-focused services and service providers expected to be added over time. The FADA agreement is meant to extend the platform across the association’s dealer network rather than limit it to one showroom group.
Rosmerta Digital Services is part of the Rosmerta Group, which works on technology-led solutions for India’s automotive and mobility sector. FADA represents the country’s automobile retail industry. The new platform does not change a vehicle’s legal record by itself; its immediate role is to make compliance information and related service steps easier to access during ownership transactions.
