Samsung is beginning the wider rollout of its stable One UI 8.5 update today, May 11, extending availability beyond South Korea after the software first debuted there on May 6. The update is expected to reach users across several major markets in stages over the coming days.

According to the rollout schedule, Europe, Hong Kong, India, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan are among the regions set to receive the update shortly after Korea. Additional markets are expected to follow later as Samsung continues the phased release.
The first devices to receive the stable version were the Galaxy S25 lineup alongside Samsungâs latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. More flagship phones and tablets are now joining the rollout window as Samsung broadens availability.
Eligible devices scheduled to receive One UI 8.5 in the coming days include the Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, and S25 Edge, along with the Galaxy S25 FE. Samsung is also extending the update to the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy S24 FE, the Galaxy S23 lineup, and the Galaxy S23 FE.
Foldable devices are also part of the expansion, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in addition to Samsungâs newest foldables already running the software.
On the tablet side, the Galaxy Tab S10 series and Galaxy Tab S11 series are listed for the stable update rollout as well.
Samsung Germany has also indicated that some Galaxy A-series models could receive One UI 8.5 in the near future. However, the company has not confirmed whether those devices will be updated during the same rollout phase as the flagship models or at a later date.
Users whose devices are eligible can check for the update manually through the Settings menu under Software update once the rollout becomes available in their region. Devices already enrolled in the One UI 8.5 beta program are expected to receive a smaller download package, while users upgrading directly from One UI 8 may see downloads measuring several gigabytes.
As with previous Samsung software releases, distribution is taking place in phases rather than arriving simultaneously across all countries and carriers. That means some users may receive the update immediately, while others could wait several days or weeks before it appears on their devices.
