Xpeng L03 Launches Europe at €34,990, Undercuts Tesla Model Y

By Shahriar FahimJuly 21, 20262 Mins Read

Xpeng unveiled the L03 electric SUV-coupe at its Global Brand Event in Munich, opening orders across more than 60 markets simultaneously. Pricing starts at €34,990 in France and Belgium—undercutting the Tesla Model Y by up to $10,000.

Pricing varies by region: €35,600 in Germany, €36,600 in Austria, €36,990 in the Netherlands. A range-extender version, the L03 Power X, launches this fall from €38,600 in Germany with a claimed 1,000-kilometer total range.

Impressive Charging Performance

Despite using a 400-volt architecture, the L03 charges at up to 236 kW, achieving 10-to-80-percent in 20 minutes. Standard features include a heat pump, 6 kW vehicle-to-load, heated and ventilated front seats, and a panoramic roof.

The charging speed matches or exceeds premium competitors while the base price remains accessible to mainstream buyers. This combination has proven decisive in capturing market share in Europe.

Global Expansion Strategy

The Mona L03 is Xpeng’s first global model launched simultaneously in China and Europe. The company plans to eventually sell the L03 in 64 overseas markets, signaling ambitions to become a true global EV manufacturer.

Deliveries begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. Early interest from European dealerships and pre-order channels suggests strong demand ahead of availability.

Competitive Positioning

The L03 targets mainstream buyers seeking value and range. Xpeng’s vertical integration enables competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. European buyers increasingly view Chinese EVs as credible alternatives to Tesla and established German manufacturers.

The launch represents a inflection point for Chinese EV brands in Europe, where regulatory support and consumer adoption continue accelerating.

Xpeng’s European launch signals Chinese EV manufacturers are moving beyond Asia into established Western markets successfully.
