XREAL AURA is a pair of optical see-through glasses that will run Android XR through a separate compute puck. TechRadar tested the device at IFA 2026, and XREAL’s product page lists the product for a fall 2026 release.

XREAL says AURA uses a 70-degree field of view and see-through displays. The official page describes the glasses as a portable spatial-computing device powered by Android XR, with Gemini assistance built into the wider platform experience.
The split design keeps the glasses light while moving some computing hardware into a pocketable unit. TechRadar described the device as glasses connected to the puck by a cable. The report said the demo included a 2K display, speakers tuned by Bose and a microphone.
TechRadar also reported cameras that support hand tracking and tools such as Circle to Search. Those features were observed or described during the hands-on report. They should not be treated as a promise that every Android XR application will support the same controls at launch.
Google’s Android XR update on XREAL’s AURA says the device uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Reality Elite platform. Google also described the glasses as part of the Android XR ecosystem, which is intended to bring apps and AI experiences to spatial displays.
XREAL’s reservation page says a $99 reservation can become a $199 launch credit. The company also said 2,000 Founder Priority Passes were reserved, while the remaining reservation offer was separate. A reservation does not establish a final retail price or a delivery date for every market.
The company has not published a full retail specification sheet in the sources reviewed for this report. XREAL lists a fall release window, but it does not give a single universal day on the product page. Availability, regional pricing and software support therefore remain open questions.
The useful update is that AURA has moved from an earlier project name into a named product with an official reservation page and an IFA hands-on demonstration. Readers should wait for final launch terms before treating the glasses as a finished consumer device.
