Fresh Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra CAD renders are drawing attention because they appear to show a substantial change to the phone’s rear-camera layout. The images were reported this week by established technology outlets, but Samsung has not confirmed the renders or the specifications attributed to them.

Android Central reported on Aug. 25 that new renders from OnLeaks and Android Headlines depict the alleged phone with a horizontal camera plateau rather than the vertical arrangement associated with recent Galaxy Ultra models. The report described two prominent lenses on the left and a pill-shaped section beside them for additional sensors and the LED flash.

The same report gave alleged dimensions of about 163.76 by 78.25 by 7.97 millimetres. Those measurements would leave the overall size close to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, even though the rear design shown in the renders would look notably different. Android Central also reported that the leaked layout may mean Samsung is moving away from the long-running 10-megapixel 3x telephoto camera.

Android Authority separately described the images as polished renders made from recently circulated CAD data. Its report said the files were being used to visualize a possible new camera system ahead of Samsung’s expected early-2027 launch plans. That wording is important because CAD-based images can show a case-maker’s measurements or a leak interpretation without proving the final retail design.

9to5Google also reported the alleged redesign and said OnLeaks and Android Headlines had published CAD-based renders. It cautioned that such renders are not infallible and treated a possible price increase as a rumour rather than a confirmed Samsung decision. The report linked the design discussion to earlier leaks that had circulated over the weekend.

The current evidence supports a careful description: the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra CAD renders show an alleged horizontal camera plateau and suggest a redesigned rear layout. They do not confirm the final camera hardware, dimensions, price, launch date or software. Samsung’s official announcements will be needed to settle those details.
