Infinix has quietly introduced its latest high-end smartphone, the Infinix GT 50 Pro, positioning it as a device built with mobile gaming in mind while experimenting with a few unconventional hardware ideas. The handset is set to go on sale starting tomorrow, with pricing beginning at IDR 6,499,000, roughly equivalent to $376 or âŦ330.

Out of the box, the GT 50 Pro arrives with a fairly standard bundle. Buyers will find a 45W charger, a USB cable, and a protective case. The case itself hints at one of the phoneâs more distinctive features, incorporating a magnetic ring designed to work with a new accessory introduced alongside the device.
That accessory, the MagCharge Cooler 2.0, attaches magnetically to the rear of the phone. It combines two functions in a single unit, offering 15W wireless charging while simultaneously delivering 12W of thermoelectric cooling. Infinix describes this dual capability as an industry first. The system also supports wireless bypass charging, allowing power to feed directly to the motherboard during gaming sessions, reducing heat buildup from battery charging.
The hardware inside the GT 50 Pro leans heavily toward performance. It runs on a Dimensity 8400 chipset built around an all-big-core CPU design, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Battery capacity varies slightly depending on the model, listed at either 6,500mAh or 6,150mAh, with support for 45W wired, 30W wireless, and 10W reverse wired charging.
The display stretches 6.78 inches across and uses an AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness is rated at up to 4,500 nits, suggesting an emphasis on visibility in varied lighting conditions.
In hand, the device follows a flat design language and comes in three finishes: Black Abyss, Red Blaze, and Silver Glacier. The red variant, in particular, stands out visually without departing from a familiar form factor.
At the back, Infinix has introduced a dynamic RGB lighting array integrated into what it calls a HydroFlow liquid cooling system. The cooling mechanism spans over 6,400 square millimeters and includes visible liquid movement when activated, offering a rare external indication of internal thermal management.
The phone also incorporates shoulder triggers, relying on haptic feedback rather than physical buttons. These triggers support adjustable pressure sensitivity and can be mapped for multiple functions, extending beyond gaming into general use such as app shortcuts or camera controls.

Taken together, the GT 50 Pro reflects a design approach that blends conventional flagship specifications with experimental hardware touches, particularly around cooling and user interaction. Its real-world performance and durability will become clearer once it reaches usersâ hands in the coming days.
