Tecno has launched the Spark 50 Pro, a budget Android smartphone targeting buyers in South Asia and Africa who want a large battery and a capable processor at an accessible price point, with the device listed at around $299 in international markets.
The Spark 50 Pro runs MediaTek’s Helio G100 Ultimate chip paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The display measures 6.78 inches with a 1224 x 2720 resolution, which is a higher pixel density than most phones in its price range. The rear camera system features a 50MP primary sensor and the front camera shoots at 13MP.
The headline specification is the 6000mAh battery, which Tecno has positioned as the main selling point for users who need a phone that lasts a full day and then some under heavy use. Charging speed is rated at 60W, which is fast enough to replenish a significant portion of the battery in under an hour. The phone runs Android 16 out of the box.
Tecno’s Spark series is one of the most widely distributed budget smartphone lines across Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and sub-Saharan Africa. The brand competes directly with Realme, Infinix and the lower end of Samsung’s Galaxy A series. In Bangladesh and India, the Spark 50 Pro is expected to retail between 25,000 and 30,000 BDT and 18,000 to 22,000 INR respectively, though official regional pricing has not been confirmed by Tecno at time of publication.
The phone comes in five colours: Ink Black, Titanium Grey, Midnight Blue, Dynamic Orange and Cloud White. At its price point, the Spark 50 Pro competes in a segment where display size and battery capacity tend to drive purchase decisions more than processing power or camera quality. The MediaTek G100 Ultimate is a mid-range chip that handles everyday tasks without strain but is not designed for sustained gaming at high settings.
The Spark 50 Pro’s trending status in Bangladesh and India reflects strong demand for devices in the sub-$300 category. Full specs are listed on GSMArena. For comparison, iPhone 17 became the world’s best-selling smartphone in Q1 2026 at the premium end of the market, while Samsung’s Z Fold 8 targets the foldable segment — the Tecno Spark 50 Pro serves a completely different buyer in a volume market that the major brands routinely underserve on value.
Official availability and final regional pricing for India, Bangladesh and Pakistan are expected from Tecno in the coming weeks ahead of a mid-Q3 shipping window.
