Xiaomi appears to be preparing its next round of premium smartphone launches, with new leaks pointing to a global unveiling for the Xiaomi 17T lineup later this month. The development comes as the company continues to reshape its position in the high-end Android segment, particularly in markets where competition has intensified over the past two years.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro are expected to launch globally on May 28. He also claimed that Xiaomi is internally discussing plans to introduce the rumoured Xiaomi 17 Max in several international markets, including India.
If the company proceeds with an India launch, it would mark a notable return for Xiaomiâs T-series in the country after a long absence. Xiaomi last introduced a T-series device in India with the Xiaomi 11T Pro. The global 12T, 13T, and 14T models never reached the Indian market as the company adjusted its regional product strategy.
That gap has become more visible as rivals such as OnePlus, Vivo and OPPO expanded aggressively in the premium category, especially in the Rs 50,000 and above segment. A return of the T-series would place Xiaomi back into a crowded flagship market where battery life, camera partnerships and fast charging have become major selling points.
Leaks surrounding the Xiaomi 17T suggest the phone may continue Xiaomiâs newer flat-edge design approach with slim bezels and relatively compact proportions. Render-based reports indicate the standard model could use a plastic frame, while the Pro variant may adopt a metal chassis.
The Xiaomi 17T is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, alongside MediaTekâs Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset. The device is also tipped to include a 6,500mAh battery with 67W charging support and a Leica-backed triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro, meanwhile, is expected to move further into flagship territory. Reported specifications include a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, faster 100W charging and a bigger battery.
Attention, however, has increasingly shifted toward the Xiaomi 17 Max, which appears positioned as a battery-focused premium device. Xiaomi executives in China have already begun teasing the phone publicly. Company executive Lu Weibing reportedly described it as a âfully upgradedâ version of the standard Xiaomi 17.
Leaked specifications point to a 6.9-inch 1.5K LTPO flat display, Qualcommâs Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and an unusually large 8,000mAh battery. The device is also said to support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Camera hardware on the Xiaomi 17 Max could include a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP-series primary sensor, supported by 50-megapixel ultrawide and periscope telephoto cameras. If the reported battery capacity proves accurate, the device would stand apart in a flagship category where most smartphones continue to remain well below the 8,000mAh mark.
Pricing leaks suggest Xiaomi may position the series firmly in the premium bracket globally. The Xiaomi 17T is tipped to start at EUR 749, roughly translating to around Rs 84,000, while the Pro model could reportedly reach EUR 999.
Separate claims from tipster Sanju Choudhary suggest India pricing could be slightly lower. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to begin at Rs 74,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, although Xiaomi has not officially confirmed pricing or availability details.

For now, the devices remain part of an unfolding launch cycle driven largely by leaks and early teasers. But the conversation around the Xiaomi 17T lineup reflects a broader shift in how smartphone brands are approaching the premium segment, where battery endurance and camera systems are increasingly becoming central to buyer decisions rather than secondary specifications.
