Apple has reopened its Victoria Gardens store in Rancho Cucamonga with three visible design changes. MacRumors reported that the renovated location brings back a dedicated Genius Bar, adds a specific Apple Pickup area and creates a separate space for Today at Apple sessions.

The changes affect how the store is organised rather than the iPhone or Mac hardware sold inside it. Apple has been using a side shelving area known as the Avenue for product displays. The renovated design gives more of that space to services that customers use before and after a purchase.
A dedicated Genius Bar gives customers a clearer place to go for technical support. Apple stores previously used video walls and other flexible layouts in some locations, so restoring a recognisable support area may make the service easier to find for people who are visiting with a repair or setup question.
The Apple Pickup area serves customers who order online and collect an item in person. A separate bay can reduce the need to search around the sales floor for a staff member. It also reflects how store visits increasingly combine online ordering with physical collection.
Today at Apple sessions are another part of the redesign. These classes cover topics such as photography, creative work and getting started with Apple devices. Giving the sessions a defined location can help the store run classes without disrupting customers who are shopping or waiting for service.
MacRumors says the three changes are expected to roll out to other new and renovated Apple stores. That does not mean every location will use the same layout at the same time. Store size, local needs and the building’s existing design can affect what Apple is able to change.
The reopening shows that Apple’s retail strategy is adjusting around service and education as well as product display. The new layout puts Genius Bar support, order collection and Today at Apple classes in clearer locations. For customers, the practical result should be easier navigation inside stores that adopt the updated design.
